Membership Information

The AEA has four types of membership. Each type represents a member’s standing within the organization and comes with varying privileges based on said standing.

  • Institutional membership

    • Membership held by secondary or university level Seventh-day Adventist institutions. Institutional membership includes all full-time faculty members

    • $45 annual fee per faculty member if department has 1-10 faculty members

    • $40 annual fee per faculty member if department has 11+ faculty members

    • Membership Includes:

      • Eligibility to vote at AEA conferences

      • Inclusion in all AEA communications

      • Ability to submit articles or presentations to AEA publications and events

  • Individual Membership

    • Membership for any Seventh-day Adventist who currently teaches English or the Language Arts full or part time at the elementary, secondary, college, or university level

    • $50 annual fee

    • Membership Includes:

      • Eligibility to vote at AEA conferences

      • Inclusion in all AEA communications

      • Ability to submit articles or presentations to AEA publications and events

  • Student Membership

    • Membership for any Seventh-day Adventist currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate major/minor English program

    • $25 annual fee

    • Membership Includes:

      • Inclusion in all AEA communications

      • Ability to submit articles or presentations to AEA publications and events

    • Membership does not include:

      • Eligibility to vote at AEA conferences
