Registration

Conference Registration is open Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm and Thursday 8:30-9:00am in Hulsey Wellness Center Lobby

Session and Event Locations

Unless otherwise noted, all Thursday and Sabbath sessions will be held at the Hulsey Wellness Center (HWC) on Southern’s campus. Conference meals on Thursday, Sabbath, and Sunday will be served in the Presidential Banquet Room in Wright Hall. On Friday, all sessions will be held in the Bradford Cleveland Brooks Leadership Center (BCBLC) on Oakwood’s campus.

Questions can be directed to AEA staff and to the Student Hosts in white polo shirts.

Meals

Thursday’s Plenary Address and Dinner, Sabbath Lunch, and Sunday Brunch are provided for Conference Attendees and will be held in the Presidential Banquet Room on the third floor of Wright Hall. Student Hosts will be at the front entrance of Wright Hall to guide Attendees. Friday Lunch at Oakwood will be provided in the BCBLC.

*Please note: Thursday Lunch, Friday Dinner, and Sabbath Dinner are self-catered. On Thursday, the Cafeteria will be open and the Presidential Banquet Room will be available for Attendees should they wish to sit together during lunch. See “Food” on page 18 for Ooltewah dining options. Following the tour in Huntsville, the bus will stop for Friday Dinner.

Internet Access

Sign in to the Internet using the “Guest” Wi-Fi network provided in your rooms and at Conference Registration.

On Campus Parking

Complimentary parking permits are available to conference attendees and may be obtained from the Conference Registration Table.

Information for Attendees with Disabilities

AEA is committed to making arrangements that allow all of its members to participate in the convention. Elevators are located in the Hulsey Wellness Center and in Wright Hall on Southern’s Campus. The Bradford Cleveland Brooks Leadership Center at Oakwood is also fully accessible.

Gym Access

Conference attendees may purchase $5 Day Passes for the gym and pool area or $2 Day Passes, which give access to only the pool area from the Hulsey Wellness Center Front Desk. Visit https://www.southern.edu/administration/wellness/features/pools.html for pool and hot tub hours.

Quiet Room

The Quiet Room is located on the third floor of Hulsey Wellness Center, Room 3141. It will be open on Thursday and Sabbath.

Business Meeting

The AEA Business Meeting will follow Brunch on Sunday, June 23. Please join us as we discuss plans for the next AEA conference in 2022.
